Inspiration from the London Fire Brigade
The idea began during discussions with firefighters at Chelsea Fire Station.

Plumis Ltd was established to rethink domestic fire-suppression.

First product invented (faucet-mount)
The initial prototype mounted to a faucet to offer fire protection.
2009
Won the James Dyson Award
Co-founder Yusuf Muhammad won the 2009 James Dyson Award.

First fire testing at the BRE
Early fire tests validated the mist-suppression concept.

Second product invented (fixed head)
A fixed-head water-mist unit expanded our fire-suppression range.
2013
Saved our first life
Our system’s first live activation successfully protected a home.

Third product invented – Electronically targeted Automist
(single room)
Introduction of a smart water-mist system targeting individual rooms.

Received the Red Dot Design Award
Automist Smartscan won “Best of the Best” at Red Dot 2016.
